It started on campus.
In 1999, it was created by founding creative director Travis Hamilton on the campus of Texas Southern University, a historically Black university. It began as a Black-owned house with something to say. Almost thirty years later, it still looks right.
It began with a love story.
Louisiana, the 1940s. A young woman and the man she loved chose each other in a time and place that told them they couldn't. Their love became the soul of the house.
Every collection carries that inheritance: quiet courage, Southern grace, and a house made for anyone who carries that spirit.

Our Story
Negris LeBrum began with a love story.
Louisiana, the 1940s. A young woman and the man she loved chose each other in a time and place that told them they couldn't. Their love was forbidden, and they didn't let that stop them. It was quiet courage, Southern grace, and a belief that love is bigger than the lines drawn around it.
In 1999, Travis Hamilton founded Negris LeBrum as a graduate student at Texas Southern University, carrying that story forward. What started on an HBCU campus with a handful of T-shirts and a vision has grown into an American luxury house shown in New York and featured in British Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, WWD, ELLE and Vanity Fair.
The house is rooted in the American South: its craftsmanship, its hospitality, its music, and its way of dressing with intention. Every collection is made for anyone who carries that spirit, wherever they're from.
Mrs. Negris remains the heart of the house: elegant, unapologetic and timeless.

Returns & Exchanges
Trunk Show Preorders
You can cancel your preorder for a full refund any time before the trunk show closes on Tuesday, November 3. After that, your piece goes into production and all sales are final.
The Vault
Vault pieces are limited archive pieces and are final sale.
Size Exchanges
If your piece doesn't fit, we'll exchange it once for another size, subject to availability. Contact us within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, with tags attached. The customer pays return shipping.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we'll make it right with a replacement or a refund.
International Orders
International orders are final sale. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
